Molding Young Minds is looking for caring adults, professionals, and community leaders to mentor students at Denby High School and beyond. Your experience can help guide young people away from violence and toward their purpose.
All mentors and adult volunteers must complete a background check and safety orientation before working with students. Learn more about our safety process.
Mentor Qualifications
Adult 21+ with a genuine commitment to Detroit youth
Live in or near the Detroit area and able to meet consistently
Pass a comprehensive background check and sex offender registry screening
Provide two personal or professional references
Complete the youth protection and safety orientation session
Willing to commit at least 2 hours per month during the school year
Respect program boundaries and confidentiality with students
